Thumbnail: Kenny is the student media adviser and director of the digital video center at Samford University. He also teaches multimedia journalism and works with students developing cross-platform skills and focuses on the convergence of the students' news outlets.

Kenny is pursuing a doctorate in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama. His research centers on the production, acquisition and use of information with interests in social media, credibility and media literacy.

He holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism from Auburn University and a master's degree in communication management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
