I wonder if this was a "only girls can shush and alphabetize" thing or "boys don't have the temperament for a library" thing.

Armour Institute merged with the Lewis Institute to form what is today known as the Illinois Institute of Technology. From what I can tell, they don't presently offer studies in library or information sciences.
