Glomeratas

Welcome back to the Glomerata feature where I show off big leather-bound books because I think the larger collection looks pretty cool in my house. Also it is fun to look through them, laugh at hairstyles and see what things looked like at Auburn when there were fewer people, fewer cars, fewer buildings and the students still complained about parking. This isn’t judging books by their covers, but judging covers against one another.

Anyway, this week’s installment, linked below, brings us into the 21st century. The first book in my collection is a 1901 edition. (The first Glomerata is an 1897 effort, which I’m still searching for.) There’s a century of corny college jokes, head shots and history resting on my bookshelves. Honestly I’d never thought of it like that until just now.
