We like to imagine ol' George here might enjoy a moment of notice 99 years after his first world championship.
I know these things about him: he typed fast, he was a pitchman for Underwood typewriters, he went to high schools showing his typewriter skills and, according to a website commenter, his uncle, George, was a nice man.
So I don't know if he'd find it amusing, but at least I find it amusing. He typed fast, but these days we realize things just as fast. As soon as you learn there was such a thing as world typing competitions, and as soon as you found one of the winners, a man with an even halfway distinctive name, you realized there might be a website with details.
