So, if you have wondered, no, this is not a new question. Which might possibly mean it is the wrong question.
All of the familiar and common themes are there, religion, industrialization, the family unit.
I like the second note: The family transmits our social heritage. It is an interesting idea with contemporary and modern implications. I don't believe I ever heard it that way in school.
