There must have been a bad run of several years of tough meat, because there used to be an awful lot of meat tenderizer ads.
Adolph's is still around. McCormick & Company, which of course still does huge business in spices and other condiments, picked up Lawry's and Adolph's in 2009. A big mover these days is seasoned salt. In 50-some years people will see the ads of today and wonder why the salt was so flavorless.
