Autumn is here. Too soon for me, but too late for others. I hear about it, believe me. It makes for good elevator fodder and faux-angst. It is all the Southerner’s fault, and so on. <\/p>\n

But the roses are still blooming at the house:<\/p>\n

So there’s that. <\/p>\n

I struggled my way through a 10K on Saturday. Here was our path:<\/p>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

That was at the beginning, in about the last moment this particular run felt good. About two-thirds of the way through, though, my feet numbed up and I was able to run a slight bit better. And this was my view at that moment: <\/p>\n

And right about here was when I realized I needed to get new shoes … to replace the brand new sneakers I’m running in right now. I suppose not every pair of even the same model of Saucony is the same. Let’s just blame the fallen leaves:<\/p>\n

There’s that moment in a fair amount of my runs where I’d like to be done, but I have to get back to the house or the car. This was that moment. When you go for a low-angle shot on your run, your run is pretty much over:<\/p>\n

It is a lovely little leaf turn, though:<\/p>\n
