(Naturally I take a shaky picture of this.)<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/sept12\/sept21.jpg\" alt=\"workshop\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Buddy Roberts of <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theleedsnews.net\/\">The Leeds News<\/a> &#038; <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newsaegis.com\/\">St. Clair News-Aegis<\/a> has a full house for his sports reporting session.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/sept12\/sept22.jpg\" alt=\"workshop\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Birmingham News business reporter Marty Swant discusses intermediate reporting.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/sept12\/sept23.jpg\" alt=\"workshop\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Finally, and joined in progress, here is Dr. Julie Williams, who leads a session on beginning writing. She illustrates her first point by making peanut butter sandwiches. The people in the session have to help her. <\/p>\n<p>What you don&#8217;t see is their order to open the bread. She grabs the back and rips it apart, flinging the bread everywhere. They tell her to tear off a paper towel, and she pinches off a corner of one sheet. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/telly.com\/embed.php?guid=A94SI&#038;autoplay=0\" title=\"Telly video player \" class=\"twitvid-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I edited that on my phone, while walking from one building to the next. This technology still amazes me.<\/p>\n<p>There were other sessions, but they were all opposite mine, so I could not visit them. I talked about building an organization, staffing the newsroom and the various challenges and successes you have in school newsrooms.
