And so we spent the afternoon at the Parc de Mariemont is a former royal estate and hunting park created in the 16th century. The royal home is long gone, but today it is a public park and on the grounds there is a museum, Mus\u00e9e royal de Mariemont. There are also ducks and geese. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may220.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>And this one charged me. What do you do when a goose gets aggressive? <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may221.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I chose to stand still. He got close and then got bored. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may222.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may223.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may224.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>There are also some ancient greenhouses on the grounds. No signs, but the slab notes the dates 1698 and 1896. So one presumes it was in action for 200 years. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may242.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Probably it was in a church or chapel:<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may243.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Our gracious host: <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/may15\/may244.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s just the cutest.
