A beautiful young woman, a young life, well-lived, but far too briefly.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for something charming, <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2015\/04\/09\/gopro-therapy-dog\/?utm_cid=mash-com-Tw-main-link\">Moxie is a therapy dog with a GoPro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m just going to leave this headline right here and let it do the rest: <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/reduced-sentence-for-3-year-old-girls-rapist-sparks-outrage\/\">Reduced sentence for 3-year-old girl&#8217;s rapist sparks outrage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Changes coming to state policies on industrial recruitment &#8230; <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/birmingham\/news\/2015\/04\/10\/the-ones-that-got-away-old-incentives-brought-big.html\">Old incentives brought big wins, but also big losses to Alabama<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d like to thank the state of New York for creating an environment that prompted Remington to move south &#8230; <a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/birmingham\/morning_call\/2015\/04\/huntsville-led-state-in-2014-job-creation.html\">Huntsville led state in 2014 job creation<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a TARGET=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.al.com\/entertainment\/index.ssf\/2015\/04\/a_new_twist_to_the_story_of_th.html?hootPostID=bb086260c186b038ec1a0cd7d0ebf46e\">A strange twist to the tale of that $800,000 painting &#8216;Antiques Roadshow&#8217; discovered in Birmingham<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The story behind a Mountain Brook businessman&#8217;s prized Frederic Remington painting that has been appraised for $600,000 to $800,000 just got even more intriguing.<\/p>\n<p>The director of the Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, N.Y, said Tuesday that she has discovered the nearly 120-year-old painting of Mountain Brook real-estate executive Ty Dodge&#8217;s great-grandfather was obtained by Dodge&#8217;s family in a 1938 exchange that left the museum with two forged Remington pieces in return.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You have to pay close attention to that story to follow it &#8212; or I did, at least &#8212; but it is a great story for those that like museums, family heirlooms, art or misidentified forgeries. <\/p>\n<p>And finally, go Dogs:<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/apr15\/apr34.jpg\" alt=\"basketball\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Copeland Cookie Day in my Storytelling class: There&#8217;s a great vintage photo at the bottom of the post.
