{"id":573883649,"date":"2012-07-29T18:39:36","date_gmt":"2012-07-29T23:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/wordpress\/?p=573883649"},"modified":"2012-08-01T18:50:45","modified_gmt":"2012-08-01T23:50:45","slug":"catching-up-73","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/wordpress\/blog\/2012\/07\/29\/catching-up-73\/","title":{"rendered":"Catching up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I write this every so often, but my favorite part of the day in our home is that time where we get the last little bit of real sunlight:<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/july12\/july39.jpg\" alt=\"shadows\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>A picture never captures it though. There&#8217;s too much warmth in those few precious moments of golden light. There&#8217;s too much movement in the shadows cast by the trees and the blinds. And there are just enough trees to the west to make the light dance. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/july12\/july40.jpg\" alt=\"shadows\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>This is disappointing. I put a wind chime just under the air conditioner vent. If it gets moved by the air, I thought, I&#8217;ll have great music all through August. (The air has to run pretty continuously from here on in.<\/p>\n<p>But the breeze didn&#8217;t budge the chime an inch. No tinkle, no dinkle. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/july12\/july41.jpg\" alt=\"chime\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s OK, though.
