The leaves are going, some faster than others, but they&#8217;ll only pick up speed from here.<\/p>\n<p>The dogwood always catches the first train out of town. <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/oct11\/oct58.jpg\" alt=\"dogwood\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The farther down the tree you go, though, the less enflamed the leaves get.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/oct11\/oct59.jpg\" alt=\"dogwood\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Usually the maples are the first to go.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/oct11\/oct60.jpg\" alt=\"maple\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>But the sweet gum is brilliant.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/oct11\/oct61.jpg\" alt=\"maple\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>A closer look of the backlit veins of the sweet gum leaf.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kennysmith.org\/photo\/oct11\/oct62.jpg\" alt=\"maple\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>But it isn&#8217;t all yet.
