This is the middle of nowhere, central Alabama. How do I know this is the middle of nowhere?

And so I rush through to the next zone near the closest cell tower. Because what if something happened and I needed to make a call?
I’d walked out back to admire the dogwood and found grass that needed to be cut. So I mowed the lawn and then glanced up in time to take this picture. Serendipity.

On April Fool’s Day a student organization covered the quad, the trees and the fountains with plastic pink birds.
Every so often you must climb that ladder that goes into the ceiling, just because it us there and you don’t know what’s up there.
A lot of ductwork, electrical wiring and a few gauges, it turns out.
