About Kenny
Kenny is the student media adviser and director of the digital video center at Samford University where he works with students developing cross-platform journalism skills.
Kenny is also a doctoral candidate in communication and information sciences at the University of Alabama. A veteran journalist with experience in all mass media formats, his research interests are in online credibility, media participation and convergence journalism.
He holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism from Auburn University and a master's degree in communication management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Kenny is married to Dr. Lauren Reichart Smith, a professor of public relations at Auburn University. They have wonderful adventures.
