I vaguely remember this.

The police chief held a press conference one day showing off all the alcohol confiscated from inside the football stadium on game day. That was a lot of booze.

If you look at about chest-height of the two guys in the background to the right you might see the vapors floating away. Or the ghosts of students longing for one last drink.

This particular alcohol awareness message dovetailed with Alcohol Awareness Week, where more than 2,000 luminaries were lit around campus in memory of alcohol-related fatalities for the month of October. There was a Mock-tail contest, with groups creating non-alcoholic beverages. I don't recall anything about that, or how it was received by the student body.

In the spring, if memory serves, a student died driving home, drunk, from a party.
