Greg here, if memory serves, was the managing editor for the 1995-1996 edition of The Auburn Plainsman. He was the editor-in-chief of the 1996-1997 paper, which claimed one of the highly coveted Pacemakers.

The editor of the paper runs the largest weekly in the state, distributed all over campus and the community for free each Wednesday. He worked in a basement with a beautiful view of a parking lot. The paper moved into a new home at the beginning of the 2008 year. I was able to tour it soon thereafter, the newsroom was still so new it looked clean.

Anyway. This is the editor's office. The buck stops here. (Through that window you can see the computer bullpen. More on that in a moment.) It was on that machine, playing around with an early graphics editing program, that I learned I did not have the facial features that would allow for a quality mustache. One night we all took turns scanning IDs and defacing the photographs.

Never let them convince you it is all work and no play.
