This was the second season for women's golf. And it was a come down after an impressive inaugural campaign.

The year before Auburn's golfers were state runners-up, but they couldn't follow up on that momentum.

The yearbook, in the optimism characteristic of such publications, saw big things in store for the ladies on the links. Much of this hope was attributed to Auburn's new home course, Still Waters, on nearby Lake Martin.

These days Auburn has varsity golf for both men and women, and brags of a $1.95 million, 8,300-square-foot golf teaching facility.
