Sandra Newkirk coached the volleyball team as one of her duties, and her squad enjoyed a good outing in this particular season.

They posted a 19-11-4 record, won one tournament in Memphis and place in both the state and regional tournaments.

There's not much here to judge by, but I'm guessing that today's lady volleyball players are all much taller than the ladies of their parent's generation. The modern team boasts three ladies topping out over six feet.

You have to love those striped shorts. Maybe they'll bring those back for a retro night?

You likely won't see the referees in hot pants any time soon, though.
