Hippies are funny.

Our Southern variety was humorous in their own way.

I only include this here because one of those things in life funnier than a hippie is an ice-cream-eating hippie.

I can make that joke because they can't hear me over the Steve Miller Band.

According to the text on this, the free time page, there was once a place (or places?) called "The Pub and the Blocked Punt." Also, Auburn had a Domino's pizza in 1976.
