Ahh, the lovel Miss Homecoming. Simple, elegant white. With an oddly placed belt chain thing.
She's graceful, you see, and is smiling it off good naturedly, but she's no doubt looking for her Court, ready to stare death rays into their bellies for putting that thing on her dress.
Similarly, isn't this some of the most attractive page design you've ever witnessed? We've journeyed into a place where no picture has a corner, where green-on-green is a good idea and where no one is afraid of extraneous line art.
Miss Homecoming was a local girl, a prominent member of the Auburn High band before moving across town to the University. This photograph was no doubt taken locally, possibly in the University's Davis Arboretum, which was established in 1963. Little more than a decade old and already the place had a sense of permanence to the students.
Sorta like those bangs.
