Thirty years later his headphones would be a bit smaller.

And he'd never be that far away from his iPod.

We're getting now into the organization sections of the 1976 Glomerata. There are a lot of groups belonging to various colleges and the many social fraternities. Most of these offer the typical large group shots and not much else, but there are a few images worth seeing.

Again, we're trying to avoid making fun of the clothes; some things would be too easy. This shirt would never be worn today, or at any other moment in history, for example. Moustaches, however, are always in open season and this guy has a masterful lip decoration.

What do you think he's listening to? A quick glance at the charts for 1975 and based on the opinion formed from this one photograph we'll go with the Eagles' "One of these nights."

It was either that or "Sister Golden Hair."

It is nice to see that the random chain shortage of the early 1970s had been overcome by this time. There's a picture later in some guy's dorm room where everything seems to be suspended from the ceiling by chains. It all seems innocent enough given the 1970s, but would look odd today. This guy, though, just has a random chain hanging in the foreground.

That chair will be at a yard sale near you this summer.
