Here is one of the subtle differences between the 1976 Glomerata and the book of their parents before them: ROTC is placed much further back.

This only makes sense. Compulsory service was ended in the 1960s and consequently, the numbers for ROTC dwindled. No, this is not the entire program, but merely the Ranger Unit.

The importance was still there, and the pride of the program has never faltered as Auburn's ROTC program has enjoyed a reputation of quality service and production since World War I as far as I can see.

While I haven't done a true comparative analysis, it seems as if there is a larger spread in the book to cover these students than was offered them in years past. Perhaps that is a credit to more opportunities, better cameras, more photographers or a conscientious effort, we can't say.
