The Board of Student Communications oversees all of the publications, including The Auburn Plainsman, the Glomerata, the literary magazine The Circle, the radio station and, these days, Eagle Eye Television.

They gathered here for this photograph which collects the names of some important Auburn folks during the last half of the 20th Century. Dr. Ed Taylor, David Housel, Dean James Foy, Jack Sims are all in this picture.

Dr. Taylor was a lifelong Auburn resident, founded a fraternity, was the state AARP director, advised many University activity groups and involved in a host of community efforts. He'd been a professor and served as advisor to fraternities and student affairs for 25 years after serving in the war. He died in 2003.

David Housel is a lifelong Auburn fan, graduated from the University, joined the journalism faculty, served as a ticket agent, a sports information director and retired as the director of athletics.

Jack Sims was a journalism professor and the coauthor of the definitive photo history of Auburn University, The Lovliest Village.

Dean James Foy was discussed just a few pages ago.
