Best ad in the books is merely a picture of one of the best marquees in town.

This is one of those ads that didn't need to be here. Tiger Theater was on the main drag. Everyone knew where it was and everyone always went to the movies, or at least passed by. This was an ad of thanks as much as anything. "Thanks and tell your younger brother, who we expect to see enrolled and at the theater in the next few years."

I've discussed previously how this marquee still existed into my freshman or sophomore years. I continually lament the things that I came to appreciate too late, and fret even more that the place is a Gap now.

This ad will have to do, and you'll excuse me if it shows up elsewhere on the site from time to time. Perhaps I could colorize it ...
