On the rolling plains of Dixie
'Neath its sun-kissed sky,
Proudly stands, our Alma Mater
Banners high.
To thy name we'll sing thy praise,
From hearts that love so true,
And pledge to thee our
Loyalty the ages through.
Those are the words to the alma mater, supposedly being sung in this photograph. If that's the case not much has changed: most people, sadly don't know the words today.
Actually, those are the words to the modern version, which was changed in 1960 from the 1924 original. It is a rather interesting tale, if you're so inclined.
