She was a junior from Auburn, majoring in art.

And if the name sounds familiar, it should.

She was the daughter of University president Dr. Raplb B. Draughon (namesake of the current library). Think there was any pressure on her, or the facult that saw her in their roll books? Think she lived in the dorms or just walked from the President's Mansion each morning?

Ann Draughon would become Dr. Ann Draughon Cousins, who still works with the University as a Foundation board member and is the president and owner of Nonami Enterprises, a security brokerage firm in Atlanta.
