Ms. June Bottcher.

She was from Cullman, Ala., majoring in education as a junior.

In that vein of "They didn't make teachers like that when I was in school" it seems that one of my early teachers would have been about this age. I doubt she was considered one of the campus beauties like Ms. Bottcher.

So it seems hats, or rags, are very much in vogue for the ladies of 1953. As are gloves, denoting a certain grace, distinction and tendency of digits to chill.

Unfortunately she seems to have lost one of her gloves. Not to worry, I'm sure one of the cadets was quick to swoop in with an act of chivalry.
