This was Shug Jordan's second football team at Auburn.

And while they played a tough schedule, they stunk it up from time to time.

This team would go 2-8 in the 1952 campaign, including two of the longest losing streaks in school history, but Jordan and his staff were laying the foundation for great things to come.

There were some big names on this team, however, including the school's all-time passer Dudley Spence, 11. Four future All Americans were on the squad, including: Jim Pyburn, 80; Joe Childress, 35; Frank D'Agostino, 77 and Fob James, 23. Fifteen of them would be drafted into the NFL. Former All-American, major league baseball star and offensive powerhouse Travis Tidwell had also come back to scout for his beloved team.

Oh yes, and one would become governor.
