There are three prints of Samford Hall here with the ubiquitous highlighter. "Alabama Polytechnic Institute" is also written in yellow, all in lower case.
William J. Samford Hall is now home to the University's administration, but in 1953 graduate students haunted those halls. As always Samford Hall figures prominently into the yearbook and was one of the signature images of the University even back then. We'll try to keep it to a minimum here, just to showcase other glimpses into 1953.
This would have been my grandfather's freshman yearbook, had he attended API. Things changed a lot over the 40-plus years when I would attend Auburn, and they've even changed again since. Jim Williams and Ed Martin are the business manager and the editor, respectively, that will give us our trip back through time.
