Here's Graves Ampitheater, which hasn't changed much. Some small performances, a few concerts and a lot of informal parties happen here now. Those houses are all gone, the last of them disappeared during the 80s.
It is named after Bibb Graves, who served two terms as the governor of Alabama in the 1920s and the late 1930s. He served in both the Mexican War and World War I and became the first governor in Alabama's history to serve two terms.
