And here are the guys and girls that cheered on the team. We could work on that guy-girl ratio and everyone would be happy.

Cheerleaders haven't changed much. Every photograph they have in the book is extremely high energy. This one is easily the most restrained. Not sure what I like more, those nice shiny coat sleeves or the simple A sweaters. That's a blue A on an orange sweater. Those ladies stood out.

Full sweaters, too, modesty being what it was. Can you imagine having that on during the early season? The average high in Auburn during September is 90.

Where are they now? Wick Watkins became the chairman and CEO of ICEE, Atlanta. He serves on the Nursing Community Advisory Board for Auburn and donates generously to his fraternity, an Auburn scholarship and funds for nearby Troy University and Huntingdon College.
