Here's your 1951-52 student government. According to their brief note listed they did about as much as any student government could be expected to do at a university within a city.

They can also take credit for an Open House program, and an initiative to improve relations with big-time rivals Alabama and Georgia Tech.

"Laws were drawn up regulating student elections, campus drives, campus advertising and student organizations."

If any of those campus advertising rules are among those still in existence this student government can be praised and muttered about, almost simultaneously.
