Most of this section is all a hurried stab at creative writing based on the inferred context clues from the picture. This one, though, is my family.
That very tall man young man in the background is my grandfather. The woman to his left is my grandmother. The elderly couple are my great-grandparents. He was raised by Jesse James' relatives. He died before I was born, but his wife, my great-grandmother passed away only a few years ago, at 99. She was the oldest ever graduate from the University of North Alabama. Decades earlier, one of her daughters was the youngest to ever graduate from that same school.
The couple on the left side of the photograph are my aunt and uncle. They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary as of this writing. They met in college. She tutored him in math, and he was smitten. He learned the math, but pretended he needed more help so he could see her again.
My grandfather, the tall one in the back, was a preacher. I don't know where the picture was taken -- that tidbit might be lost forever -- but I like to think it was at one of his churches.
