Inscription: Uncle Stub & "Pinkie"

Some families should not be able to name other people.

Christmas, 1968 -- the photo's margin tells us-- and it was a big Christmas for the kids in this family. That bike was the hit of the new year and the tassled handlebars would be a great memory for Pinkie. That ottoman and that lamp would go in the coming years, but every Christmas for decades she'd think of that bike whenever the icicles covered the Christmas tree. She'd long forgotten who helped her put it together, but she remembered Uncle Stub and the pipe smells locked in his jacket.

There aren't that many Uncle Stub references on the Internet. One of them could be him ...
