Is it just me, or did you think that girls didn't start cutting designs into photographs until much later. To see it dating back to the 1920s really hurts the originality of the modern teenaged girl.
One thing's for sure: The modern girl probably wouldn't wear this outfit for a photograph. Just a hunch.
Her hairstyle has been recycled a few times though.
Same young guy from the previous picture and this is the "Me" that we've run into a few times. No one puts their own names on photographs, trusting that memories may fade, but they'll always be able to see themselves in their own eyes.
This is out in the woods -- several of the photographs from this portion of this scrapbook were shot in the woods -- mostly because there wasn't much else around their community at the time.
Your guess as to the relationship between this pair is as good as mine, but that arm move sure does look a bit awkward ...
