The Volkswagon, the people's wagon, paired with Firestone, tires with their origins in Ohio and Michigan. Now there's something you don't see soldiers riding in every day.
I believe that's a Volkswagon. Or, perhaps, a futuristic dune buggy. You can never be sure about these things.
Unfortunately there's no context within this picture to guess at, and no clues in the form of an inscription. I can't be certain, but that shoulder patch looks like it might be from one of the Armored Divisions.
These guys are somewhere, though. Someplace they hadn't been before, in this wacky car they'd never driven previously. Why else would you stop someone for a photograph? They look pretty happy about it too. Who knows what they'll find in that city off the left margin of the photograph ...
