No matter the times the simplicity of the pinback button will never leave us. They are a campaign effort that dates back centuries. And while you may see fewer of them these days as name recognition techniques evolve, but there's no escaping what that man's wearing on his lapel.

They tell you a lot, those little buttons of ink, celluloid and aluminum. They've introduces us to candidates, clarified allegiances and solidified positions on the issues. And now they've come here to rest.
